Environmental Toxicology Testing & Consulting

Environmental toxicology continues to play an ever-increasing role in the assessment of pollution control measures and product safety. Since 1988 we have been committed to excellence in providing environmental toxicology services for our clients. Our goal is to provide scientifically sound data and professional support to assist our clients in meeting their environmental requirements in an efficient and consistent manner. Because of our commitment to quality and service we have established a solid client base represented by municipalities, state and federal agencies, universities, electrical utilities, industries (chemical, petroleum, paper and wood, food, metal and others), shipyards and ports, environmental chemistry laboratories, and environmental engineers and consultants.

With our specialized focus we can assist you directly with your toxicity testing requirements or issues, or we can team with other specialized professionals so that the best solution to an environmental challenge can be obtained. Our staff continuously strives to keep abreast of new developments in the field and are active in both standards and methods development. Memberships include American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC), The NELAC Institute (TNI) and the Water Environment Federation.

We are accredited for freshwater and estuarine toxicity testing methods under the National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (NELAP).

Chronic (life-cycle) toxicity

be used to assess site

contamination or clean-

up success.  Commonly

used species include

midges (Chironomus

tentans) and amphipods

(Hyalella azteca and

Leptocheirus plumulosus).
